Ep 102: Ron Nixon – Broadhead Nation

In this episode, I talk with Ron Nixon of Broadhead Nation. This is a group dedicated to the promotion of archery hunting around the world. The group is also hunter friendly and welcomes legally harvested trophy pictures of any animals taken by any legal means.

The group is family friendly and with members around the world, you can find a great resource to help you if hunting in any areas that you are not familiar with.

Ep 101: Martin Schindel – Michigan Crossbow Hunters Group

In this episode, I talk with Martin Schindel. Martin and his wife Kelli created the page Michigan Crossbow Hunters on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1412961368933935/).  This group is open to anyone that hunts with any type of weapon anywhere around the world. While the group tries to focus on information relevant to Michigan hunters, anyone is welcome to share their hunting exploits around the world.

Ep 100: Britt Longoria-Hunter, Philanthropist, Conservationist

In this episode, I chat with Brittany Longoria. She is an accomplished hunter, conservationist, philanthropist and storyteller. Along with her husband, she has hunted all over the world.

Brittany runs her company Rock Environmental, LLC (http://rockenvironmental.com), where she provides philanthropic consulting for nonprofits and donors.

Britt works with a variety of companies and sits on the board for a number of companies like Trinity Oaks in Texas (https://trinityoaks.org).

We also discuss the treatment of female hunters on social media and why there is such an aggressive attitude directed and women hunters online. Britt was the subject of this backlash when a picture of her with a leopard was taken from her Instagram page and used by anti-hunters.

I talk with Joshua C Chadd, a professional hunting guide and author. Joshua guides for Majestic Mountain Outfitters (https://www.majesticmountainoutfitters.com).  As a guide, Josh helps clients harvest sheep and brown bear in Alaska and a number of different animals in Montana.

Ep 098: Scott Hunter – Growing Bigger Deer with Top Ten Percent Deer Management

In this episode, I have Scott Hunter back of Top Ten Percent Deer Management (https://toptenpercentdeermanagement.com).Scott, his wife Rikki, and his son Kyle help you manage your land for harvesting bigger deer. They can come in and help you with Food Plots, Scrape Lines, Water Holes, Stand Placement, and Sanctuaries.

The proof is in Scott’s several free-range Michigan Boone and Crocket Deer took from his managed properties. Whether you have 10 acres or 10,000 acres, Scott can assist you with habitat improvement. 

Planned for late summer of 2019, Scott and his family are looking to open an archery store in Coldwater, Michigan. There will be more information on this as the opening gets closer.

Ep 097: Brad Luttrell – GoWild App Founder and Restless Native Podcast

In this episode, I talk with Brad Luttrell,  one of the founders of the outdoor app GoWild. GoWild is an application for both the iOS and Android platform that is built by outdoors people for outdoors people. This is an app designed to be used by hunters, fishermen, and anyone else who enjoys outdoor activities. Unlike some of the larger social media platforms that remove hunting or fishing content, GoWild is all-embracing of it as are the people that use it.

Ep 096: Bryan Zabitski – TenPoint Crossbows

I talk with Bryan Zabitski of TenPoint Crossbows (https://www.tenpointcrossbows.com).  Bryan is the Marketing Coordinator and creates lots of great content for the TenPoint Crossbows family of products. Under the TenPoint Family, you have three distinct brands of crossbows. You have TenPoint, Wicked Ridge, and Horton. Bryan covers the history of TenPoint Crossbows and that the company is 25 years old as of 2019.

Ep 094: Matt Miller – Tournament Crossbow Shooter

I talk with Matt Miller of Tryin’ Hard Outdoors (facebook.com/Tryin-Hard-Outdoors). Matt is a professional competitive crossbow shooter. He participates in the Archery Shooters Association (www.asaarchery.com) tournaments held around the United States.

Matt shoots a Mission SUB-1 Crossbow (https://missioncrossbows.com), an amazing piece of technology fitted with an HHA Speed Dial (hhasports.com/optimizer-speed-dial) to make sure that he can shoot arrows out to any needed distance during either hunting or tournaments.

Matt was also at the 2019 ATA show and we talk about some items he saw there and gives us his viewpoint. 

Then we just talk about hunting. Matt is an accomplished hunter in addition to a competitive archery shooter. He spends a lot of time guiding and marketing hunts for Collins Low Country Hunting Club (www.collinslowcountryhuntingclub.com).
